Groceries / Pharmacies

Calgary CO-OP – Effective Monday March 23rd, we will devote 8:00 am to 9:00 am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday especially to seniors and people living with disabilities, so that they have an opportunity to shop in a freshly sanitized, fully stocked store. We will not shut our doors to others during these timeframes, however we ask all other community members to please shop outside of those hours if at all possible, so that those most in need of support are able to fulfil their needs. Furthermore, our Pharmacies will open an hour earlier to support this.

UPDATE: Starting on CO-OP, they will be offering a seniors and immune-compromised shopping hour from 8 AM to 9 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. They can’t stop anyone else from shopping but are asking people to reserve that time for more vulnerable populations

As well, they will be reducing their general hours from 8 AM to 8 PM (normally they are open until 10 PM). All staff will remain until 10 PM helping to clean the store and restock the shelves.

Costco and SuperStore – Apparently the same as the CO-OP above, but we don’t have official publication on this yet.

Shoppers Drug Mart – Shoppers Drug Mart has extended its Seniors Day discount tot he first opening hour of every day to assist seniors. NorthHill and Market Mall currently open daily at 8; this discount applies from 8-9am.

Shoppers Drug Mart – Shoppers Drug Mart is offering online doctors from March 16th – 23rd for free through Maple.

PetSmart – Offering pet food delivery

Banking – Canada’s six largest banks today announced plans to provide financial relief to Canadians impacted by the economic consequences of COVID-19.
