UHCA Seniors… Join our new Chair Yoga group!

We are excited to invite you to come and limber up joints and muscles, by taking a CHAIR YOGA class led by Carol Tapsay.

After a career change in her mid-fifties, Carol trained to be a yoga teacher with the goal to serve students who may not feel they were suited to the practice of yoga. She continued her training focusing on Sacred Elders and on Accessible and Pain Care Aware Yoga.

In Chair Yoga, participants perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. Students can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion and stress reduction. Practice will be adapted for all levels of mobility.

While it is chair yoga, anyone wishing to work from a mat is encouraged to bring their own mat and Carol will provide alternative strategies to accommodate you.

If you have any questions, please email your request to us.
