Restrictive Covenants

Restrictive Covenants

University Heights was a master planned community built in the mid-sixties. The original marketing brochure can be found here.

The majority of properties in University Heights are governed by Restrictive Covenants registered on title that guide and limit development. The covenants operate as a “building scheme” outside of and in addition to municipal zoning by-laws. It is the responsibility of the individual property owner to confirm which Restrictive Covenant applies to their property.

For reference, we have added links below to the two restrictive covenants in University Heights. Each homeowner’s specific restrictive covenant is registered on the property title.

Development

The UHCA Development committee actively reviews development permits within and around the community. Currently, the committee is able to respond to those permits or other development projects that they become aware of. Should you have specific questions about development in our community or in close proximity to it (i.e University District, Foothills Hospital), please reach out to the development committee here.
