Guidebook Followup

Thank you to those residents who attended our town hall meeting on the Guidebook for Great Communities on April 19, 2021.  The Guidebook will be returning to the Standing Policy Committee (SPC) on Planning and Urban Development (PUD) meeting on Wednesday, May 5th to consider all of the public What We Heard information from the Council Hearing on March 22nd as well as subsequent City meetings with those who spoke and/or wrote letters.  There will be a City-led information session on Thursday, April 29th at 6:30 p.m. which is open to the public – Guidebook Report Back Presentation, click here to join live on Thursday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m.. Unfortunately, this is the day after the deadline for public submissions to be included in the agenda package which should be available online on Friday April 30th.  Citizens can still submit letters and/or request to present until May 5th.  Please see our detailed information below on how to do this.  Be sure to have your say.

Here we have included the PowerPoint presentation from our town hall, plus some links to other information pro and con about the Guidebook, how to attend the update meeting on April 29th, and how to submit letters to the City.   This is the most significant change to City planning in decades and will impact all developed communities.  The goals and policies from the Municipal Development Plan are already affecting how new communities are planned and built.
